A free six month course on tailoring was conducted for the women of Arjunabettahalli and surrounding villages. About 30 women were given training to learn the fundamentals of sartorial skills. On completion of the course they were provided with sewing machines to set up their own little domestic tailoring units.

Mr. Alexei Ivanov, our donor from Moscow, graciously distributed the sewing machines in a special function organized on January 14, 2015. On this occasion, we had the honour of the presence of Smt. Jayanthi Ramaswamy, a prominent women’s activist, Smt. Akkamahadevi, Panchayat President and Smt. Rukmini, a women entrepreneur from the village.

On this occasion the students presented the intellectually challenged children, resident at the Trust premises, with winter clothes.

Earlier on a certificate course on costume jewellery making was conducted and the students were issued certificates.
